As Founder and Global CEO, Dr. Abraham is passionate about developing and implementing self-sustaining solutions to fulfill GFM’s mission of hope for the marginalized and oppressed. He often says, “I don’t want to be a part of something that will die with me.” As an author and adjunct professor of business, Dr. Abraham brings distinctive expertise and experience in organizational and cross-cultural leadership. He is dedicated to transforming lives and communities with the love of Christ.
Dr. Abraham was born and raised in South Asia where he experienced abject poverty, but after completing advanced degrees in the U.S. he was moved to give back to the developing world where he came from by bringing sustainable solutions to poverty there. He and his wife founded GFM Ministries in 2002 to bring holistic and self-sustaining solution to end poverty. See more of the founders’ story here.
As Co-founder of GFM Ministries, Dr. Amie brings twenty years of experience in cross-cultural ministry and program leadership. She has effectively served diverse clients in the U.S., East Asia, the Middle East, and South Asia. Dr. Amie provides leadership with our domestic and international work, making regular trips to the developing nation communities we serve.
Through her initial trips to South Asia, she and her husband, Dr. Abraham, were moved to start GFM Ministries in 2002 in response to the extreme poverty they witnessed there. See more of the founders’ story here.
RachelManager of Finance and Administration
As Manager of Finance and Administration, Rachel brings accounting insight and a heart to serve. She comes to us from a background in healthcare accounting, and has been a part of several life changing mission trips in Central and South America. Rachel has a deep desire to serve by creating order and sharing Jesus’ love with those who need it most. Rachel is excited to be able to combine her talents and passions by joining the GFM team in bringing hope to all the lives we touch.
JohnChief Engineer and Designer for International Aquaculture Projects
As Chief Engineer and Designer of the International Aquaculture Projects, John brings sustainable fish farming solutions to those living in poverty. John has developed an effective and efficient, sustainable aquaculture unit which is producing 9,000 lbs. of fish per year. He is currently multiplying these efforts in implementing an Aquaculture Fish Farm project that will produce 485,000+ lbs. of fish a year for villagers in abject poverty in South Asia. John is excited to be a part of the GFM team in helping to bring organic fish protein to thousands of children and families in need.
A retired electrical engineer and telecommunications strategist for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad, he brings over 40 years of experience and expertise to bless this work with GFM. John’s leadership skills on the field help us bring cutting edge technology in sustainable fish production to our work in helping the impoverished in developing nations.
As the Communications Director, Scott engages people from all walks of life to the mission and vision of GFM. With a background in leading church and nonprofit ministries, Scott oversees all aspects of our media efforts to showcase the amazing work of GFM’s programs around the world. With his skills in publishing, digital media, marketing, and community development, Scott is excited to partner peoples and communities together to serve the gospel.
As the multi-media specialist, Jack brings fresh ideas and experience to the table. He is excited to perform God’s work using his skills in photography and videography. His compassion for helping others will be used to further grow GFM Ministries in their work of impacting the lives of the marginalized unreached.
As Missions Mobilizer, Alice’s heart’s desire is to serve the Lord through missions. She ministers regularly in South Asia, especially helping to empower women and girls to come out of poverty with dignity, and has taken more than 15 trips to the region. She has also served short term in China, Brazil, Ukraine, Mexico, Nicaragua, Canada, and Bermuda. She is passionate about telling the story of how God is at work through GFM, and she mobilizes believers and faith communities to partner in this work.
As Administrative Assistant, Jessica brings a heart eager to communicate value and encouragement to those in her sphere of influence through practical service, creativity, and the persistent love of Christ. With a B.A. in Biblical Studies, a zeal for cross-cultural ministering with orphans and widows, and a vigor to see hope brought to the marginalized and overlooked, Jessica is thrilled to join GFM’s team in bringing holistic transformation to those who are physically and spiritually impoverished.
RuthPrayer Ministry Director
As the Prayer Ministry Director, Ruth engages others daily in prayer for GFM’s ministry projects, staff, board members, donors and partners. Ruth loves GFM’s work in bringing holistic transformation to those who are materially and spiritually impoverished, and she is passionate about serving with the GFM team. Ruth has been involved in prayer ministry and missions for over 30 years, and praying for Muslims is especially close to her heart. Ruth has ministered in several countries across the Middle East and Asia, and she is actively involved in local outreach in the U.S. She also serves on the leadership team helping to organize and implement various GFM events.
